COLUMBUS the classic deck oven with heating gas recirculation, is fueled by oil or gas and epitomizes premium baking with a static baking atmosphere.

The WACHTEL parallel radiator design guarantees an absolutely even heat distribution with short heat paths together with a high efficiency of heat transfer in all decks. 

The deck group management system ensures flexibility in the amount of baking space required and also significant energy savings.
The COLUMBUS is the ideal choice in all situations where the highest possible baking performance must be combined with the smallest foot print and where a flexible, i.e. economically efficient, response to fluctuating demand and conditions is required.

Every COLUMBUS model can be enclosed on three sides and is designed according to ergonomic considerations. Servicing the entire oven system can be managed from the front.

  • Columbus mono - single heating system in all decks; up to 6 decks
  • Oven width: 1200 mm (SINGLE), 1800 mm (TRIPLE)
  • Oven depthi: 1600 or 2000 mm
  • Columbus variomat - with 2 separate heating systems; up to 6 decks
  • 2 deck groups that can be controlled separately of one another
  • Columbus triomat - with 3 separate heating systems; up to 9 decks
  • 3 deck groups that can be controlled separately of one another
  • Depending on your needs and requirements, deck groups can be deactivated too - energy efficient


  • For baking with different, mutually independent temperature ranges in  one deck oven the choice is between two model versions: the COLUMBUS VARIOMAT and the COLUMBUS TRIOMAT

  • Draw-plate decks (optional)

  • Loader/unloader for fully automated production - COMFORT (optional)

  • Huge: The triple-width COLUMBUS E Model, for example, offers 44 m² total baking surface with nine decks on a standard 2220 mm oven width.

  • Energy-saving, modulating or two-stage burner technology ensures an exceptionally high heat-up performance and thus short heat-up phases.

  • Tried and tested for 30 years: The efficient WACHTEL parallel radiators guarantee uniform heat distribution for consistent and even baking quality (with an operating efficiency of ≈ 90%).

  • The deck baking plates consist of specially-developed mineral material offering high thermal storage capacity

  • Saturated with Steam: The high-performance steam injectors are isolated from the baking chamber and linked directly to the burner area, offering energy advantages and blast after blast of steam without loss of temperature in the decks.
